Minerals

They are nutrients that the body needs daily to maintain its activity. Depending on the daily amount needed (grams, milligrams or micrograms), we can group them into minerals (grams, milligrams) and trace elements (micrograms). Minerals have various essential functions in the body. Some, such as calcium, contribute to the formation of structures such as bones and teeth and others, such as zinc or selenium, contribute to protecting cells against oxidative damage, that is, they act as antioxidants.
